Car Hire Conditions

Drivers should be a minimum of 25 years and have held a full licence for at least one year. Our prices include 2 named drivers per car. At the time you collect your car, you will be asked to pay a refundable deposit of approximately 130 pounds against the cost of a full tank of petrol, and a security deposit to cover your "excess" liability against damage to the car of: 530 pounds (cat B, I), or 890 pounds (cat C, D, H, L) or 1020 pounds (cat K) or 1040 pounds (cat F, G). This can be paid in local currency or by visa, Access/MasterCard or American Express. In common with other car rentals, damage to tyres and windscreens is not covered by insurance. All categories of car have air conditioning. Avis can only guarantee a category, not a brand and model.

If you arrange this locally on arrival in Corsica you pay approximately per day: cat B, I  10 pounds; Cat C, L 12 pounds; Cat D, F, G, H, K 13 pounds. In common with other car rentals, damage to wheels, tyres, roofs, underside and windscreen is not covered by insurance.

This care hire includes:
I)Unlimited mileage, collision damage waiver. II)comprehensive insurance cover. Personal accident insurance is also included only if you have taken personal holiday insurance cover through Corsican Affair. Personal accident insurance payable locally 35 pounds per car per week approx. III) Local tax. IV) A detailed Michelin map of Corsica. V) Two named drivers per car; extra drivers pay 15 pounds each approximately.
