Set up on the cliffs of the beautiful citadelle of Bonifacio, the Hotel Genovese enjoys superb views overlooking the port and the old town. You are just a stone's throw from the tempting boutiques, the numerous restaurants and the historic surrounding walls of the fortified town and just a few minutes walk from the bustling port. (Walking up will take a few minutes more than walking down!)
There are a number of beaches within easy reach from the hotel: Piantarella, past the Sperone Golf Course offers you a chance to windsurf or take a boat trip to the Lavezzi islands; La Tonnara, to the west, is a favourite spot for windsurfers with its stunning rock formations and wild charm. The fabulous 18 hole golf course at Sperone has spectacular views over to Sardinia and some of the most stunning coast in the south.
Those who wish to go exploring will find there is easy access from Bonifacio to the mountain area of the Alta Rocca, or to the west of the island you can visit Sartene or the prehistoric site of Filitosa.
