Tucked away down a quiet lane, this villa has an idyllic setting in its own gardens, but with a lovely view over the village of Patrimonio, which is only a 500m walk away. A haven for wine lovers, Patrimonio produces some of the finest wines in Corsica. Each vineyard has various outlets throughout the village to sample or buy some of the wines on offer.
The villa owners, the Montemagni, will be delighted to share their knowledge of wine producing. The village which is about 10 minutes walk, has a number of restaurants and comes alive during the guitar festival in July; in August St Florent hosts the excellent Porto Latino festival. The pretty port of St Florent is only a short drive and has an attractive square, good selection of boutiques and restaurants, and a charming harbour. There are a number of beaches to visit in the St Florent area or take the short boat trip to the beach of Loto.
DETAILS OF ACCOMMODATION
This spacious villa has been designed to offer its guests a relaxing stay in comfortable surroundings. The front door opens into a small hallway leading into the main sitting/dining room area which contains a fireplace and comfortable furnishings. There is an archway into the kitchen which is fully equipped with oven, microwave, gas rings, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, and opens to the outdoor terrace and barbecue. From the hallway there is one double bedroom and a shower room/WC. There is a utility room with a door into the garden which contains a washing machine, iron and ironing board. On the first floor are three bedrooms; two are double bedrooms and the third bedroom is suitable for children with a double bed and 2 single beds. There is a bathroom/WC also on this floor plus a small sitting area with TV and DVD. A cot and highchair are available - please request in advance.
The gardens surrounding the house have a stone barbecue, outdoor furniture, and a newly installed 10m x 5m swimming pool. Special rates for 5 or less sharing except in July and August.
